Project Description

Rotary Club of Palpa Lumbini and Rotaract club of Palpa Lumbini conducted Project Rajaswola as a social awareness campaign focused on menstrual health, menstrual hygiene, and breaking social taboos related to menstruation in Palpa district. The project was organized in May 2026 with support from Lumbini and Lumbini Medical College and Teaching Hospital ltd.
The project included several awareness and educational programs such as:
• Debate competitions in schools on menstruation-related topics
• Awareness classes on male and female reproductive systems
• Menstrual hygiene education programs
• Public awareness games and street activities
• Reusable sanitary pad-making workshops
• Menstrual Mela (fair) at Tudhikhel, Tansen
• Cultural performances and awareness dramas
• Community interaction with mothers’ groups and students
More than 100 youths and volunteers participated in the campaign. Medical students, social activists, schools, mothers’ groups, and local organizations actively supported the initiative.
